I was excited to see, as I got in my car after work to go home, that your latest podcast was downloading on my iPod. I’ve already listened to it twice and now, at my receptionist desk, I’m listening to it for the third time. This episode about education opportunities, online and off, is great, and packed full of information (hence listening to it for the third time).
I did want to add two things. You mentioned the Legacy webinars and that you didn’t know if there was a cost. Each of the webinars is available free to the public to listen to for one week after its original broadcast. After that you have to be a subscriber. As a subscriber you have unlimited access to the previous podcasts in the archives. I finally broke down a couple months ago and subscribed.
Also, the Jamboree in Burbank, California each year is put on by the Southern California Genealogical Society. Hope the two of you are able to get out here next year because you would love it. I went last year for the first time, actually staying in the hotel for two nights to get the entire experience of classes. I learned so much, on such a wide range of topes, and have already signed up for this year’s Jamboree. Looking forward to it. In addition, SCGS has a large library of archived webinars and archived Jamboree sessions. Members have unlimited access to it at anytime, as well as remote access to World Vital Records and MyHeritage. Well worth the annual membership of $35.
