The year is coming to a close and the latest podcast Episode #60, is all about our year in review. Did we complete our resolutions we made way, way, way, back in January? Tune in to find out. We also discuss what we have been working on since our last podcast. Here are a few of the highlights and links.
After our recent interview with Annette Gendler, we both decided to plunge into some short memoir writing ourselves. I am documenting all the places I’ve lived and adding an interactive Google Earth map to the project. If you have never tried Google Earth, give it a whirl. Check out any of the numerous videos on Youtube on the topic to see how easy and fun it can be.
WEBINARS
Amy mentions some online webinars that she thinks you will enjoy. Three of Amy’s favorites are Discover More Records with FamilySearch Image Search presented by Lisa Alzo, Can A Dead Man Find A Deed presented by Kelvin Meyers, and How Do I Know It’s Correct: Evidence and Proof presented by Rebecca Kolford, CG, CGL. There is a treasure trove of webinars at Legacy Family Tree Webinars. A subscription is $49.95 annually with an unlimited access to all of their webinars and there is an option for a free trial.
PHOTOS
Penny mentions backing up her heritage photos to FOREVER.com a paid secure permanent digital home location for your photos where you can preserve, organize and share. HERE is a link for 2GB of FREE storage (which holds quite a bit) and a $20 USD coupon if you would like to try it out.
BOOKS
Don’t forget to check out the latest book by Nathan Dylan Goodwin, The Chester Creek Murders. This would be a great gift to give or receive this year. It comes out on January 15, 2021.
We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Stay safe and healthy and we will talk to you in 2021!
